Spread of Infection

Should your child have any contagious infections please inform the nursery. This allows us to alert other parents and help prevent an outbreak in nursery, and the possibility of your child being re-infected. Should your child show symptoms during the nursery day we will contact you immediately. The table below covers the most common illnesses and exclusion period if necessary. Please note this list is not exhaustive.

  • Diarrhoea and/or Vomiting
    48 Hours from last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhoea
  • Chicken Pox
    5 days from onset of rash
  • German Measles (Rubella)
    5 days from onset of rash
  • Impetigo
    Until lesions are crusted or healed
  • Measles
    5 days from onset of rash
  • Ringworm
    Until treatment is commenced
  • Headlice
    None
  • Threadworms
    None
  • Tonsillitis
    None
