WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS

We believe that children benefit most when parents and nursery work together to support and assess learning. When you register with the nursery you will be assigned a Key Worker. The Key Worker will help you and your child settle into nursery, and be responsible for your child's personal care and progress. The Key Worker system ensures you and your child have a continuity of care in nursery, and you have someone to speak to if you have any queries or changes to care. In addition to these methods of collaborative working we have set up a Parents' Forum where staff and parents meet on a regular basis with parents setting the agenda. All parents are automatically members of the Forum and are invited to attend the meetings.

You can be sure that we will listen to you in all aspects of care and education regarding your child, and we encourage you to become an active participant in the life of the nursery.

Methods of Communication include:

  • Parents Days
  • Parents' Forum
  • Newsletters
  • Daily Sheets
  • Parent Information Board and Displays
  • Day to Day discussions
  • Information Leaflets and Letters
  • Informal and Formal individual appointments
