PARENTS' FORUM

Meetings

In May 2008 we established our Parents' Forum following extensive consultation with parents. The Forum provides parents a further opportunity to become involved in their children's learning and in the life of the nursery. Meetings take place two or three times a term and the agenda is set by the parents. All parents are automatically members of the Forum and are invited to attend the meetings. You can be sure that we will listen to you in all aspects of care and education regarding your child, and we encourage you to become an active participant in the life of the nursery.

Creche

We operate a free Creche facility for the Parent's Forum and provide dinner for the children. Places can be booked with Kim or Elizabeth.

At our first Forum meeting parents agreed the following Mission Statement and Aims.

Mission

"The Parent's Forum strives to provide an opportunity for all parents/carers to become involved in their child's learning and in nursery life. It will also provide opportunities to raise and resolve issues in an open and honest environment."

Aims

To involve parents/carers in their children's learning and in discussions about the children's education
To encourage parents/carers to contribute and participate in the life and work of the nursery
To involve parents/carers in evaluating the nursery and contributing to the nursery's plans for improvement and development
To create opportunities for parents/carers to talk to and develop relationships with other parents/carers
